  1. Im not sure how the following affects LaunchBox from LedBlinky site: Does the LedBlinky work via plugin in LaunchBox? cause its not mentioned on the LedBlinky site
  2. Ive just started a new Build and its exciting to see that the timing couldnt be better. I am a total noob with LedBlinky however, is there going to be some kind of guide on how to set this up in LaunchBox? Also there was mention of setting this up for platforms other than mame, is that just as easy to do?
  3. There are certain MAME roms that dont get imported when you select use MAME metadata. When i first imported my games, some where missing. then when i drag and dropped an individual mame rom (eg crswd2bl - crossed swords) and use the import wizard, again with use mame meta data... and right at the last step when it gives you a list of roms ready to be imported... its blank... run the wizard anyway and nothing gets added. The only way i managed to add it was to import it normally without using the "use mame metadata" option. Why didnt it add my rom? why wasnt this rom in the mame metadata? where does launchbox get the metadata?
  4. i ended up renaming the platform to fix the other bug i spoke of. but still the options to not include bios was not there. it seems to be dependent only on emulator selection, not platform. which makes sense since mame can also be used for console platforms
  5. MAME isnt available as a platform... the only thing that comes close is "arcade"
  6. I think the options you mention only appear when you select mame as the emulator, no such options appear when you select rocketlauncher, which launches mame, and i use to manage my whole system. There was another issue with the "arcade" platform in launchbox not getting recognised correctly in rocketlauncher so it seems there are optimisations and bug fixes left to do with rocketlauncher
  7. I found this and this guy found a similar solution. http://www.rlauncher.com/forum/showthread.php?3837-LaunchBox-RocketLauncher-amp-Mame
  8. Is this a common problem amongst Frontends? would be good if this could be done automatically since the roms are in the database and it knows there are bios files

    Built in Jukebox

I think we could create something nicer and easier to use and with a more modern coding language. I will look into dwjukebox in more detail when i get time. seeing if its worth investing time creating a skin and if can do all the things you'd want it to do. Ideally there a some features that would be good to add. Its last update was October 9th 2009. this program is very much legacy
  10. When i add my mame folder to LaunchBox, it also adds the bios files as games. how can i avoid this from happening and how do i clean this up? do i just right click on the bois and select delete? that wont remove the file from my drive right? if i rescan the folder later on i dont want the bios files to be added again
  11. When i added my mame roms to LaunchBox, I selected "arcade" from the list of platforms and RocketLauncher as my emulator. it scraped the metadata fine. Then in RocketLauncher under the System list "arcade" shows up. When i tired to select a default emulator, the list was empty and no matter what i did it was always empty. After a lot of time and trying different things i realised that RocketLauncher doesnt know that mame is emulator for the "arcade" platform in LaunchBox. i ended up renaming the platform in LaunchBox from "arcade" to "mame" and then mame showed up in RocketLauncher and i was able to select mame as the default emulator. This feels like such a crap way to fix this issue. is there a better fix, has anyone else had this happen?

    Built in Jukebox

Ive looked into this heaps. None were made for a cabinet in mind. Nearly all the ones i found required touchscreens and the ones that were made for cabinets were really really old programs with no update in 5-6 years or dead links. I would really like one that was up to date, played videos and could be skinned. something that works great, looks amazing and pro

  15. Would it be possible to add a built in jukebox to LanuchBox/Big box that you could add Mp3's and Videos to like Roms are added to a regular system? playing a jukebox media would instead add it to a playlist, rather than "launching" it. The list could be accessed and manipulated via your regular controls. delete, skip, play... if the media is a video the video goes full screen with basic controls available, when there is no activity from the user (song selection, list manipulation etc) fullscreen could be also be activated with a button if the media is a mp3 then pressing the fullscreen button could open a game like audiosurf that generates levels based off the music
