phew you was right, i didn't realise they automatically add launchbox folder to the directory you provide so it was D:\launchbox\launchbox i reisntalled it and my games are there thank you for your help

oh boy i did this and got 7.8 beta 11 the last one that worked for me but all my games and set ups are gone i had 14,000 games set up,please god tell me there is a way to get them back

is it possible to revert back to non beta, because since update 7.8 - beta 14 as soon as i click on any game in any system i just get launchbox has crashed. i have unchecked use beta updates but it did not revert back when i restarted

no nothing LaunchBox closed as normal and the next day when i opened LaunchBox it gave me that error, as per the advice on this forum i deleted Settings.xml and it worked restoring the LaunchBox.xml as the error message suggested did not work . keep up the good work Jason Launchbox is awesome.

Just to let you know i just had the exact same message about the launchbox.xml being corrupt. deleting the settings.xml file worked for me. i am on version 6,12-beta-5
