  1. Is there a way to save a games media (screenshots, videos, etc..) that are scrapped into the SAME folder as the game itself? If not, it would be a great feature. Like Plex or Emby. Same conventions. You can make a toggle in settings to stay the default or "Use media in game folder if exists first" like Plex and movies or shows. That way, if you ever need to rebuild your database or reinstall LB from scratch, you can save tons of time and bandwidth by not having to re-scrape. The .nfo files and pics and videos are all there already.
  2. That fixed it. Thank you very much Neil
  3. On ETA Primes video on 10.8 on youtube, shows a retro-achievement link on the top right next to Image Group link. Mine does not have the achievement link despite being on the new default theme, nothing custom, and properly updated to 10.8.
  4. I have been dumping my purchased Nintendo switch games to my PC both for backup and to play on my computer for better frame rates. But when I add the games to Launchbox it never finds any game images or media. Is there any plans to update the game database to include Switch media?
  5. So I am having a wierd issue. When I add ROMs for arcade, the metadata loads. The side info bar shows the proper name, screen shots, preview video, publishers, etc..etc... but the name of the game and its box art arent updated. Its random. Some games are fine. The name of the game rom is fine and proper for mame or fba (else it wouldnt have downloded the info right?). Any ideas?? See pic below
  6. I dont know if I am just being blind and dumb and cant see the option in front of me...but... How do I make a child playlist for All Games using the new auto populate playlists option? I don't want Fighting games per platform...I'd like one master Fighting list for ALL my games so when I am on my Barcade, all the fighting games are in one playlist and not spread among 30+ platforms. When I am on my arcade machine I dont care about the system/platform. I just want single playlists of the categories (fighting, beat em up, etc..) that has all the games from all platforms in them.
  7. Auto Generate playlists arent working well when it comes to certain things. For instance, when you look at the genre options available in launchbox, you have shooter and you also have shooter / gun. If I make one playlist and make it Equal Shooter and also Not Equal Gun, it shows EVERYTHING that isnt Gun..even non shooter games. It goes follow both. Also, its a pain to put in platform every time. If you cant do nestled Playlists unless your already in platform category, and I right click on a console, it should already auto populate an "Platform is Equal to " field with the platform you right clicked on to make it.
  8. THANK YOU! Exactly what i was looking for!
  9. So the issue I have is that while I like the overall new look and feel of Launch Box Next, there is one aspect I dont like and want to revert back if possible...even if its possible using themes. Here is the new..and the old. I like the cleaner, more classy, less busy look of the boxes NOT having shadow boxes around them. Anyway to achieve this in Next?
  10. So I just got into Launchbox alot and LOVE it. I have it running more of less for all the consoles I enjoy. However, as we all know there is a lot of different emulators for all systems. With the exception of a few systems where there is only really one (or one good one) like Citra, Cemu, RCPS3, PCSX2), the rest have a number of them. Dreamcast, SNES, NES, Genesis, N64, etc...etc.. At first I tried to force/setup LaunchBox to work with the emulator I wanted...but then it occurred to me...is there a community consensus, that after a good bit of usage now that Launchbox has been out for a while, on which specific emulator works best FOR USE WITH LAUNCHBOX. Not which one is best 'in general'....not a 'not the easiest to work with launchbox but you should use this instead of xyz'..... But which ones have a much better/easier/native time integrating with LaunchBox for the various systems. Id love some responses as to what is the best with regards to Launchbox itself and why....
  11. Thank you....that worked great! Im going to keep the (Disc 1) naming method vice m3u as not all the emulators support it (like PS2).
  12. I see that Launchbox now supports multi-disc games properly but I cant seem to find how to actually do it. What is the naming convention for launch box to recogize the files as more than one disc? Example: I have two discs for Crono Cross for PSX. Right now they are labled CronoCross1.bin and CronoCross2.bin. What should the names be for LB to only input one game image in the games list.
