    - LaunchBox now supports custom themes just like Big Box. Check out the new LaunchBox\LBThemes folder, and change the theme under Tools > Options > Visuals.

Yep, my license purchase was definetly worth it.

    Great beta, as always!

    - Improvement: A new "Wheel Easing" option has been added to Big Box that makes wheels and CoverFlow appear smoother by easing animations in and out. It's on by default but can be disabled under Options > Views.

So I have an evil plan. TDRE team apparently cracked the 7.15 release. What I'm gonna do is put up a new version of 7.15 that identifies the crack and then tells people to come to the forums and get help, which will allow us to easily identify pirates. Teehee.

I'll let y'all know once I have it all ready.

    oh my god, yes

    i just love the idea

    - Improvement: Massive startup performance increases for both LaunchBox and Big Box; in some cases it is now well over twice as fast; used multi-threading and other strategies

    - Improvement: Significant performance increases when selecting platform categories in Big Box

Sweet improvements so far for 7.10, jason!

I hope we can expect more of these in future betas/versions.

@Grila @gustarrini@Charco For me,  "Emulate the World" implies to create a new world through gaming.  Isn't it a goal of gaming to try and equal a simulated world?    From missle laucher in 70's, Mario in the 80's, Wing Commander in the 90's to FFXV today,   We try to emulate (approach equality with) a world (fictional or not) to our own.   Maybe I'm over thinking this, but that is what come to my mind when I see @RetroGaming's slogan.

heeeey, nice theory. i like it.

The games database is a fantastic thing to have, but given the nature of Launchbox and how easy it is to get it to launch a player and watch any movie, would a movie database be possible? Or maybe a connection to The Open Movie Database API? Seems a bit silly, since Launchbox is mainly a game-focused launcher, but I want to know if there's any chance of putting movies into the mix.

    ...Or books...

There is a third-party app called LaunchMovies(you can find it in the Downloads section) which does that by using theMovieDB's database. I tested it and it works just fine.

Yeah, I also hate when startup videos repeat so I decided that after the Gamecube intro ended I would add a loading screen. This essentially allows bigbox to cut off the video at any time past 6 seconds without making the video seem like it was randomly shut off, regardless of load time.

Nonetheless, another good startup video! The purple cube doesnt sound accurate but at least you tried.

    8.5/10
