  1. now that..... is..... awesome.......
  2. That's true.. and i forgot about the $20 option... i was thinking the $50 lifetime only....... i love the look on their faces when i put on mario or sonic on my 55" tv with wireless xbox controllers... the nostalgia of the games using new technology....
  3. i wish bigbox could be limited to only one platform on the non-pay... say nes or something.... just a taste... to get them addicted.... lol.. but i understand
  4. Ok.. thanks... i don't use emumovies.. i think regular default bigbox is awesome... i wish there was a way to give them a taste of bigbox tho... bigbox will just be launchbox without the licence file... so while cool... not as super cool as bigbox... lol
  5. awesome.. thanks alot... i was trying to figure my situation out... hopefully i'll generate some sales...
  6. quick question since my previous post was locked.... is it ok to make a "portable lauchbox" with everything setup.... emulators, roms, etc... for friends and family... and have everything except for my licence file... then just give them a link to buy.... i have alot of people i know wanting a setup like mine and i'm trying to figure out how to do it easily...
  7. honestly... most people will use whatever core is pre loaded.... but if lauchbox knew where the retroarch.exe was... where the core.dll was.... that's the part that confuses people... and where to put the roms... prebuilt rom folders would tell them that... then the instructions would be really simple 1. download lauchbox 2. download retorarch and put here..... 3. open retroarch and download all cores 4 download roms and put here..... 5. open launchbox and press "RA" button to configure 6. play....
  8. so wouldn't consider adding a "RA" folder that if a certain program was put in everything would work correctly?
  9. i know yall are doing the best that you can. i just wish there was a way to make it not so advanced for people..
  10. don't get me wrong... you guys are wonderful and a great resource... and the program is great. i love it. but i'll be honest.. i'm a nerd.. my passion for games and computers drives me to learn this stuff... some people are lazy and others are .... lets say.... not too bright ... and would rather just buy a pre-built system or hard drive... i know that you can only do what you can do...
  11. i agree... i read the forums and learned alot and have used what was recommended. but i know some people who have bought those hard drives off ebay, or pre-configured retro pies due to the easiness factor... i was just thinking it might help sales if all the older systems could be done almost automatically... at least up to a certain level... say 8-16bit generations... most pc's can run those without any issues.
  12. that is true... and i think launch is awesome for allowing the amount of customization that it does.. but i know several people that after seeing my setup are really impressed but don't have the technical skills needed to learn or set it up themselves... most people (i am assuming) use the cores that are recommended on the forums... so i think just picking one that yall favor would be the best and would work for most of the people.
  13. i know that you can't include the emulator... but what about a script of some type that would download it for you, and set it up automatically correctly... i think that is how retro x is doing it.
  14. i can play mario 3d world on cemu perfectly but mario 3d land on citra is about 60-70 percent speed.
  15. anybody else have trouble with citra... i'm assuming it just because it's earlier along in the emulator's development.. but so far it's the only one that gives me trouble... if i can run ps2 and wii u without issues i figured a little handheld would be easier.. my system is a i7 3770, 8gb ram and 1050ti gpu...
  16. is there an easy way to import games from steam. i didn't make any start menu or desktop icons to drag on launchbox and the games are installed to multiple external drives so i can't use the import steam games thing either.. i have over 600 games on steam so i'm hoping there is another way.
  17. great idea... thanks.. it's alot easier and faster to install steam on them and try it than to copy my 60gb launchbox folder (not including roms)
  18. btw the cpu's and ram on the remote computers are weaker 4gb ram each... one cpu is a i3 2120 (3.3ghz) and another is a pentium g620 (2.6ghz)
  19. wow, lauchbox is addicting.. lol... i'm finding that i am constantly trying to add or tweak things.. anyway... i have a setup i am happy with on my main computer... now i'm trying to decide what will be a better experience on some remote computers... a mini-install with just the emulators installed and the roms on a network drive or streaming via steam in home streaming or moonlight or something similar... any body have any better luck one way or the other?
  20. alot more complex situation than it seams at first
  21. oh... so since retrox is pay.. they are doing it without the permission of retroarch..
  22. Got ya.... so auto-populating alot of the settings when you select the emulator (like it does with retroarch and such) is the next best thing... thanks.
  23. i recently purchased retrox for android. i noticed it automatically downloads and sets up the emulators for you. Is there a technical reason or legal reason that launch-box doesn't do that... i prefer launch-box (if launch-box had an android version i would have gotten that). but retrox is easier to setup... just asking.
  24. mostly shoot'em ups... and a pain to set up.... i might pass on this system...
