  1. I have a set up with all north american consoles, portables and mame.... i have read about cool systems like the x68000 and such... as it is japanese and most of it's games are ports of arcade games... is there really any good reason to emulate it since you can play the arcade version on mame? what is everyone's opinion on this?

  2. I have my system set up complete... awesome setup thanks to all the help and and info...  But citra is slow.. i'm thinking that it's just cause it's more beta than most... everything else works great... i have 10tb of data and pretty much every american released video game system and game released up to ps2/wii u/3ds

  3. You guys rock... I am currently rebuilding my system. It is going great. There is a tremendous amount of information on the forums if you read thru it... The main thing is to get everything organized before you start. Im about 80 percent done... I have gotten all the mutli-emulators set up.. Mame, Mess and Retroarch... and it's working great... So thank you to all the moderators and other people that help us out.

    Saturn Redump (USA/Jap/Euro) = 461GB

    PSX Redump (USA) = 538GB

    PSX Redump (Japan) = 720GB

    PSX Redump (Euro) = 700+GB ( I dont collect)

    PS2 Redump (USA) = 2.5TB

    PS2 Non redump (Japan) = 3-4TB

    Gamecube Redump (USA) = 660GB

    Gamecube Redump (Japan) = 180GB

    Gamecube Redump (Euro) = 700+GB ( I dont collect)

Sega Dreamcast Trurip (ALL) = 638GB

Sega Mega CD Trurip (ALL) = 165GB

Sega Saturn Trurip (ALL) = 446GB

XBOX ~ 1.5/2TB worth out there (I dont collect)

Wii non scrubbed = 3+TB easy ( I dont collect but certain games/series)

    PSP (ALL) = ~2TB+

    Panasonic 3do Trurip (ALL) = 189GB

    MAME/CHDs/FBA/Demul/Nebula/Winkawa/Type-X/No Intro/Maybe Intro/Hyperspin ready sets = 1.7TB

so if i just do north american.. what i want will problably be about 8.9tb.... plus... all the art and such... i'll be cutting it close..

    thanks...

i posted what i found for future reference..

  5. right now i have a 4tb drive with launchbox and everything installed on... i have everything setup for all the systems up to sega cd.. works great... i was thinking i'd like to expand to new systems.. i'd like to add ps1, ps2, saturn, dreamcast, gamecube, wii, wii u and maybe 3ds... would my 4tb hold all of those north american sets? or should i look into adding more hard drives... if so about how much? and is the emulation on those systems worth emulating at this point in time?

  6. I have a question.... I am currently redoing my launchbox setup... Using the knowing i have learned on the forums and playing around with everything... I know alot more now and think my current setup is bloated and not very organized... My new setup will be portable... all on a 4tb hdd.... so... i have a question... right now i use steam in home streaming to play on other computers in the house... if my setup becomes portable.. can i share the folder containing lauchbox on the computer with the drive? would it be better to play nativity off the network (gigabit and ac wireless) or stream from that computer?

  7. Just a small recommendation... If you don't mind refurbished and the way business class machines look... I have gotten several SFF computers from dell refurbished with a coupon...Averaging about $100-$120 for a few generations old I3 with 4gb ram and 250gb hdd... I have been getting these lately instead of mini computers because you get alot more cpu power for about the same price... you might have to add a wireless card or something... but those are cheap... Anyway.. just my suggestion..

  8. Thanks,

no new purchases this year... i have to use what i have... I used all my wife's good will to get me a "gaming laptop" a few months agao.... i5 7300hq, 16gb ram, 128gb nvme ssd, 1tb hdd, 1050 4gb gpu...

  9. Thanks for the advice tho... i didn't know that AMD was that far behind tho.... I had been using the FX8300 for PC games and it seamed to be holding up ok.
