yeah, I had a feeling it was missing the PCE file, but couldn't find where to point it to it after the fact. I'm not sure if I missed it the first time around (I certainly had one ready) or if the new update added that. (probably should check the changelog)

Ok, so when I did it this time it asked specifically for the syscard3.PCE file! I made a copy of my Japanese one and renamed it to syscard3.PCE I will honestly admit I don't remember it doing that on Monday... and I did update to the latest Launchbox today. AND NOW THAT SUMBITCH RUNS! So is there a way to point it to the syscard3.PCE file if you fucked it up (or missed it) before?

yeah. my other games appear to be fine thus far. should I just restart the CD import maybe?

With the PC CD games I told it to leave it but LB is installed in that same G:\Arcade and Consoles folder

I've been doing emulation the old fashioned pain in the ass way (MAME 0.161, individual emulators, etc...) too long and I've owned Big Box and LaunchBox since 2017 but never sat down and actually just did the friggin thing... and then I got a new standing desk for my house and realized I could finally make the arcade I always wanted (sorry Player 4) Apparently I lucked out and did MAME last because that new update made importing my MAMEset super easy (once I realized I needed to use my newer set and not my older one) The TurboCD was my last major hurdle right now.

Yeah, it works in Retroarch, but I've tried other games too. played Lords of Thunder and Gate of Thunder this morning on Stream with RetroArch just fine.

I think I got all the ones you asked for. I separated my TG16 and Turbo CD games as per one of the videos.

Yeah, mine looks identical to yours except it doesn't say Missing Core File in the status. When I double click a game it just shows me the hourglass for a second then nothing at all.

So, yeah, it runs fine in Retroarch when I use Beetle. How do I get Launchbox to use retroarch/beetle? I should mention, when I try to launch Launchbox with mednafenpce fast, nothing happens. it just doesn't do anything. I'm not entirely sure my bios is in the right location for Launchbox...

So, I have all the BIOSes. Is there a way to get it to work with Retroarch? Ive tried PCenji too and couldn't get it to work there either.

I'm struggling to get my PC Engine CD games to work in LaunchBox Most of the docs and vids are pretty old. I literally have like 6 games I want to play. They're all imported, I just can't get the emulators to work The only success I've had is running them directly in TurboEngine, but that doesn't support full screen (crashes)

Even if I just select a single small MAME game, it tries to export a 52GB file... is this normal?

Is it too late to import and move now on the desktop?

yeah, the time suck is in the images and videos. So, copy the ROMS and Emulators to the new computer. Install Launchbox. Copy the images and videos from the old Launchbox (which folders are these I need to get?). Fire it up, import the ROMs but uncheck all the image stuff and it should use the old images?

I'm building my LaunchBox library on my desktop, but I want to eventually take it all and also put it on my laptop so I can bring it with me. How would I go about taking all the work I've done here and simply moving it to my laptop?

yeah, for an emulator choice in Launchbox, I'm just using mame. I have MameUI on my computer. I didn't realize I could use that as the emulator as well in Launchbox.

I'm using Mame 161 to match my romset.

aha. was looking in the toolbars for it. thank you. Now I just need to figure out how to get it to go to monitor 2 (which Windows has as my main monitor) keeps launching on Monitor 1 which is my secondary monitor.

Awesome. it works now, just displaying on the wrong screen How do I go back and populate more media files? I only chose the Box Front.
