  1. Right, this probably is the root cause of my issue then. Because the platform name is Arcade but the Playlist name is Sega Naomi for eg that's why the associated platform component isn't working. I'm not sure why its working the way I set it up then, I don't really care tbh but I like the explanation. I'll give your script a whirl!
  2. thanks Brad, makes perfect sense, but how do the automatic playlists fall into this? As Sega Naomi is a playlist that spun up automatically out of Arcade?
  3. OK, so. With everyones input (which I really appreciate btw) I managed to find a reasonable workaround. What I ended up doing was setting up a new Emulator per system and manually configuring it that way, for whatever reason its just not picking up the info from associated platforms. Tested and working great! For really minimal effort. Hopefullyu this helps out anyone else that runs into something like this in the future.
  4. Thanks for the suggestion, thats quite specific for DreamCast, he did another one for Naomi which I followed to a T but, at this stage i'll try anything.
  5. Hrm Doesn't seem to be the case, I just got a Hikaru pack and all the files are just singular, not split. This is very frustrating, i'm moving to retroarch for Dreamcast but a lot of the arcade systems are dependent on Demul it'd be great to get this working, or find an alternative that I can get working.
  6. All good I appreciate you taking a look. Yes roms and bios paths is pointing to where mame roms are, I moved them manually and told TB to keep in current locations. TBH i'm not sure if i'm using split or merged, i'd say split as this is what they look like However, I can run them if once Demul is open I select the rom which would be the part that confuses me? ItIf thats the case, Ill try find a merged set for the systems i'm having issues with seems to be LB has no issues calling demul, but not assocaiting the ROM, I dunno...
  7. thanks for such a quick reply I tried all variations of the GD-Rom plugin
  8. No ideas? @SentaiBrad I call on your great power!
  9. Hey no sweat. I re-enabled that but still the same, im kinda using a different setup and trying to migrate across so I thought maybe the Demul I had might have had some conflicting config but nah, even with a vanilla install of Demul it still does it. Ah ok, I changed the Atomiswave due to another post I read but, i'm having this issue on any system with Demul so Noami, Hikaru and Atomiswave. Any other suggestions? Would a screen recording help?
  10. Thanks for the suggestion, I just tried but still no dice
  11. I'm sorry i feel like i've been asking so many questions for help recently, I always believe I do my best to watch YT and read here to solve my issue however. I'm trying to use Demul with my Arcade system but not having much luck. I can launch Demul and then open the game fine so the emulator and paths are OK however, when launching from LB it juts launches the Demul console but never loads the game. This is all I get when trying to launch from LB Can someone please i've me some direction on how to nip this up? Many thanks in advance.
  12. Hrm now im doubting myself, im sure thats why, but i cant exactly recall. Im sure ill stumble across it as I go back through to validate they are working, if I identify any i'll be sure to let you know.
  13. Ahhhh ok, that fixes it, but I needed to tick that function to get some Arcade systems to work. I'll need to create another 'Emulator' point it to retroarch but but then enable that function for those Arcade systems that require it. Thanks for you help everyone!
  14. Thanks for such a speedy reply, yea I thought I had the hang of things but this is throwing me. Let me know if there's anything else that is insightful.
  15. I'm also sorry to bring this back from the dead but i'm having the exact same issue. I'm quite confident its not a naming issue as when I start to populate the system in RetroArch its pre-populating (in this example Sega Genesis). I'm only having issues for SMS and Genesis. I use retroarch for other systems without issues. Bit stumped on this one I tried picodrive as well but still the same, readded the entire collection for Genesis still the same. I can manually load retroarch and load the rom without issue. Any help is appreciated.
  16. Ah I think I know what ive done. 1. probably didnt tick the right things when I did the initial import but what was the biggest stuff up is I select a dir where the pack was and asked LB to copy them to the Games dir within Launchbox, that could be a flaw in teh process where it wont bring across all the required components to a game perhaps? Thanks for your help, im recopying direct to dir and wont 'copy to new location' im sure that will fix it
  17. Hi everyone, Really loving everything about Launchbox and the YouTube tutorials are really handy! So trying to do my diligence there before posting here however, CPS has me stumped, I ideally wanted to just us FBAlpha core in retroarch but couldnt get anything out of it. At best a crash straight away so, I decided to download and run FBAlpha full emulator. Whenever launching a rom in FBAlpha I get a similar message but slightly different depending on the rom. Does anyone have any suggestions? I would be suspect on corrupt roms but this is part of a MAME set and only CPS seems to be having issues? Any help greatly appreciated Have a great day.
  18. So awesome, well done! I am having a little issue though, for me the Sega Master System doesn't change, I amended the Sega - Mastersystem.png to exact naming I called it "Sega Master System" but still no change. I edited the platform in normal Launchbox UI and deleted the stock image to just use this banner but still no change? Additionally I have Genisis then Megadrive (PAL) and Megadrive (Japan) but as they use Genesis they only populate the Genesis image? Any advice is greatly appreciated!
