  1. All SNK Neo Geo AES roms are inherently included and mixed in with the MAME roms. However, I like having them separated out for nostalgia sake. Growing up, the Neo Geo was the best, elite, and most unobtainable console so I like browsing them separate from the other arcade games. Additionally, unlike arcade games, the SNK Neo Geo AES games all have boxes, carts, and user manuals which display nicely as a set. The problem I'm having is when I import the roms from a folder in LaunchBox, choose SNK Neo Geo AES, and point it at my MAME roms folder, it wants to import all the roms. How can I have it only import the SNK Neo Geo AES roms?
  2. Whelp, anyone have any tips on how they keep their Arcade database current? Or better yet, how to customize your collection/database?
  3. Bumping this. Would love to see something like this too. Given all the HyperSpin tools available for parsing and customizing lists, as well as the community support for updating XML files, a conversion tool to translate a HyperSpin XML file to a LauchBox platform would be useful. I just made a post in a similar vein about keeping my Arcade databases current with each new release of MAME. The tools exist and I know how to do it for HyperSpin, but I haven't figured out how to do it in LaunchBox.
  4. Then how do you keep your LaunchBox Arcade database current with each new version of Mame? I want new games and games that go from unplayable to playable to show in my list.
  5. Hey All, Couple questions: Is there a way I can import my MAME roms into LaunchBox based on a pre-filtered mame.xml file I hand groomed from HyperSpin? During the LaunchBox Arcade/Mame rom import wizard, how does it know if an Arcade game is Unplayable, Casino, Mature, Quiz, etc.? Is it from the C:\LaunchBox\MetaData\Mame.xml or is it from the online LaunchBox database? I ask because i want to be sure the roms from the latest Mame updates (i.e. 0.185) are accounted for. Thank you for taking a moment to read. Cheers!
