  1. Thank you for this info! I was able to find it just like you said and remove it. There was only one instance of the GrillaBatteryIndicator text in that XML file. And it's gone! Thank you
  2. Hi all, I'm new to BigBox themes and I'm working on a small adjustment to an existing theme. I'm using the Switch Theme by Grila and I really like the overall look. There is only one thing that I'd like to customize for my build. My console is a dedicated living room computer without a battery. So it's always plugged into my TV. This Switch theme shows a battery icon in the top right corner, and that doesn't really make sense in this context. I've figured out that Grila added the battery through a plugin, but that's about as far as I've gotten. I'd like to remove it from the theme so that it fits more into the living-room console context. Can anyone point me towards what I need to adjust to remove it?
  3. This isn't a problem as much as it is a refinement. I'm working on building a multi-platform gaming console for my living room. My goal is to have everything as console-like as possible. I've already figured out how to make everything boot silently into BigBox as my Shell. My last issue is that for Steam games, when I launch a title through BigBox, I still get the Steam "Game Launching" dialogue on top of the BigBox UI. Is there any way to make Steam games launch without Steam's dialogue windows? I'd prefer to just launch from BigBox and then go directly to the game without any Steam UI stuff getting in the way.
  4. The suggestion from Swaf might honestly be the only current option. I haven't purchased this adapter to confirm, but it appears that you can just use the pairing button on the adapter to connect your controller. Here are the instructions from the adapter manufacturer: Turn on your Nintendo Switch, PS4, PS3, NEOGEO mini, or PS Classic system. Connect the Nintendo Switch, PS4, PS3, NEOGEO mini or PS Classic to a TV. Just turn on your PC if you use the adapter on your PC system. Connect the adapter into any spare USB port on your Nintendo Switch, PS4, PS3, NEOGEO mini, PS Classic or PC system. To switch the modes, press and hold the button on the side of the adapter for 3-5 seconds. The LED indicator blinks slowly. To sync the Bluetooth controller and the adapter, press the Button on the side of the adapter, and then press the SYNC button on your Bluetooth controller. The LED indicator blinks quickly. ** If the Bluetooth syncing failed, please connect the Bluetooth controller to the adapter using a USB cable (not included in the packaging, you can purchase it separately). As soon as the controller is identified by the system, you can remove the USB cable and start to SYNC it again. The Bluetooth has been paired if the LED indicator lights up. Your controller is now ready to use. Here's a US Amazon Link for anyone that wants to test it (I'll probably be ordering one myself in a week): https://www.amazon.com/Magic-S-Wireless-Controller-Adapter-Nintendo/dp/B081V8G1YX With all of this said, it's not a perfect solution. The adapter only supports a single device at a time. And considering that many of us have bluetooth built into our PC's, it would be better to have some sort of pairing menu in BigBox itself to handle this. I don't know how it would be implemented, but if there was a way to access the Windows 10 bluetooth properties through a 3rd Party UI, it would be perfect.
  5. That makes a lot of sense, and I appreciate you taking the time to respond. I will look into making a request at RetroAchievements to see if they’re willing to add something like this. Hopefully they are because it is something that is very common within the subject matter.
  6. I was thinking along the same lines as you with what Retroarch does within it's system. It's clearly something that can be done if Retroarch is doing it. I'd guess that there is a way to call it with the API. What Retroarch does is fine, but I was hoping that BigBox could do it more elegantly if that makes sense. Have a big blurb of text thrown on the screen in Retroarch isn't as nice as the Achievement notifications that we see on other platforms. And BigBox is all about the look of things in the interface. It's all about making the system look great, so I feel that having an attractive notification falls in line with what BigBox is all about. But maybe it can't be done. I just assumed that it could since Retroarch is already doing a basic form of it.
  7. I'm really enjoying the addition of RetroAchievements to BigBox, and I was hoping to add a quick request. Would it be possible to have an on-screen notification when you reach an achievement? Something like the toast that you get on Xbox when you accomplish one. It's nothing essential, but I personally enjoy seeing it pop up in the moment rather than needing to dig through menus to see what I triggered during a given session. I realize that other users may not want this, so maybe something that can be turned on or off in the Options menu. I also want to say thanks for the feature, and I hope that the devs consider my request.
