  1. Hi, I finally decided to move from HyperSpin to LaunchBox. I'm now in the process of importing my games to Launchbox. The scrapping system is a big progress over HyperSpin, but some of my systems do have games from several different systems, like NES and FDS games on my NES collection, or Naomi and Atomiswave for my "Sega 3D" system. I would like to maintain this scheme in Launchbox. Unfortunately, LB only scrapes info for games which recognizes as the main declared platform (NES in this case), leaving all FDS titles without metadata. I'm importing my own artwork (logos, boxes...) from HS, so the images and videos are not a problem, but how about the game description, publisher, etc..? Isn't there a way to force LB to scrape those unknown games against a FDS database and import them on NES platform? Or am I forced to choose between splitting both systems or assuming those games will have no metadata? Second question: Is there a way to specify an AHK script for specific games inside a platform? I have some gameswhich I want to launch with different emulator cores in RetroArch (specific NES or SNES games mainly) so I would want to specify a default core for all and some specific overrides for specific games. Third question: In my case, that I'm import6ing my own media from HS, is it recommended to store that media on specific Custom Image folders? Or shpuld I styore them on the default folders? For example, for NES clear logos, is there an alternative folder for custom artwork or should I place them on "...\LaunchBox\Images\Nintendo Entertainment System\Clear Logo" folder? I'm asking this because while working with a custom theme with Community Theme Creator I've seen you can override some sets of system artwork for your own theme, I wonder if this can also be applied to Games artwork, so that you prevent LB from "updating" my custom artwork or whatever? Fourth question: Is there any artwork manager for LB? I've seen Don's HyperSpin Tools where going to be ported to LB, but the project seems dead after 2 years of inactivity. Is there any app you guys recommend to easily detect unscrapped games, missing artwork/video and such? Sorry if some or all of my questions are already answered on the forum, but I'm a newbie, and I tried to find the answers myself but was unable to. Thanks for your patience.
  2. Starting your post with "i don't mean any disrespect here" does not change the fact you are being disrespectful indeed. You are manipulating my words. In case someone else needs clarification: -As I already stated, congratulations to the author for this tremendous work. -My first question, as I'm not familiar with Launchbox (and so I'm not sure how it works) pretended to know if the naming convention was the ultimate one or there would be any plans to convert to mame (no, I was not asking anyone else to do the work I don't wanna do, but ASKING if that was the plan). -Second question, assuming the naming convention is Launchbox' official, was if there is any method inside Launchbox to do it (if Launchbox is able to correlate the rom name and its name in launchbox, I'm sure it could be doable to at least extract an xlm or text file which makes the relations). If that can be done, I could make a ps script to make the renaming. All I was asking for is information, that's all. @Mr. RetroLust, I don't want you to do anything you hadn't planned. Thanks for your work, sincerely. @neil9000, you should calm down and try not to be so rude.
  3. Hi Mr. RetroLust, Your work is awesome, so awesome I decided I need it on my HyperSpin cab. Unfortunately, the pictures are not using mame naming convention, so I would need to rename every single file manually. Do you have plans to convert to mame naming convention in the future? I'm guessing Launchbox allows you to use these full name naming conventions (Hyperspin doesn't), do you know of a semi-automated way of doing the conversion? Thanks.
