I've recently started converting an old Cruis'n USA cabinet into a multi-platform racing cabinet.
For a wheel, I'm currently using an old Logitech G25 but planning on upgrading to a Fanatec Clubsport for Christmas (still can't believe my wife approved it).
Following various tutorials online, I've managed to get MAME working with resistance (not true force feedback), Demul to handle a few Naomi and Naomi2 games (most importantly, Crazy Taxi), and M2 to round things out. Add in the various driving games I have through Steam and I've got a bunch of fun to play games.
Right now, I'm using a wireless keyboard to launch all the games one at a time.
My goal is to get a Big Box theme up and running where I can use either the wheel or the d-pad on the shifter to navigate through all the games. They seem to work when I use the keyboard but I haven't been able to get Big Box to recognize the wheel yet. I'm hoping the Fanatec wheel will provide better compatibility for the front end so I can put the keyboard away.
