  1. Wow....that is young. RIP...?
  2. Im going to try this tomorrow. Awesome. So is there a GUI? I've seen someone on line do a quick setup...and it was weird...like DOS. Then i saw another video where a guy was setting it up and there was a " menu " of sorts. That's why i wasn't sure if this was a RA type deal where you need cores/stand alone emulators...or if it was the emulator. By the way...thanks for all the help!
  3. Well i only use bezels for my arcade stuff....and that runs through MAME.....so that would be ok :). Now as far as the shader goes, most of the emulators have there own basic ones i do believe. I think i should be good with those. Question though...i can use any emulator i want for the system i desire though? Like Znes or Nestopia for the nes? That would be amazing! Do you use this in conjunction with Bigbox? or have you tried...just to see what it does?
  4. Mednafen.....ehh? Ive honesty never heard of it before??. Is this similar to Retroarch?? Of course im going to look it up after this....but im wondering from the perspective of someone who uses it. Having an all in one is desirable for sure. Since I'm now prepared to just download all stand alone emulators and try to go about using Big box like that, im willing to look at other options. Any pros and cons of that one??
  5. Interesting... I will try today and see if perhaps? Come to think of it...i believe the dolphin bar is showing up as like 4 mayflash bars instead of the single bar i actually have???... I can say the controls were fine before I introduced that to the arcade..but this was also before I decided to get the cronus max as well. ?. Of course...when i forgo the cronus, its still doing the same thing so at this point I'll try anything.
  6. I appreciate it...im so at a loss here. I guess i could take the control panel apart and place the buttons where they seem to want to be mapped? Or i can get a separate emulator for every one of my systems?...i would like to not do that though, lol. And again...i tried this now with the Cronus in line...and without it in line. RA just wants to place things where it wants to. I thought deleting the CFG would fix that...but i swear it's like there are settings saved somewhere that won't go away. I already updated from 1.7.3 to the newest version...that didn't wipe anything away...so not sure what else to do there. I should make a quick video of what it's doing so it makes sense as to what im saying...
  7. I guess im not sure if that is the case...as far as the usb slots being suspended. I would say no...as every time i start the PC...it seems to be seen under that " configure usb controllers " tab as USB 4. I would prefer it was USB one...but i don't think i can change that in windows(?). If i can and you know how...i'd like to know :). The thing that got me was stand alone emulators see the controller and maps it however i want. It's RA that ( in game only ) will not. In the F1 configuration windows...i can map things how i want. Each button registers in the slot i choose...IE; Button one: X, Button 5: B. AS soon as i save and head out to the game is where things are all over the place.
  8. Hello all. I'm having a new issue with RetroArch. Every sense i installed a new usb 360 control emulator ( CronusMAx plus ), RA will not configure the 1st player controls. The Cronus Max plus has been amazing so far! Im using generic USB emulators for my 4player build...and they play nice with everything. LB sees them, Windows sees them, BB sees them...they are great. The only issue as Windows games will not see the controllers most times using these.... Enter the Cronus Max...and i have a 360 controller now. Windows see it, LB sees it, BB sees it as well. Now any steam games i want to import into my LB/BB library works just fine with the generic usb encoders. The issue has become RetroArch. When i go to configure the 1st player controls, it sees each button press just fine once i go to map buttons to my inputs. It recognizes the controller as a Xinput controller. Once i go to launch a rom however...it has placed buttons wherever it wanted. I have deleted my configuration file, started from scratch, over and over...it just will not actually map anything where i tell it to. I then tried to run a stand alone emulator...not a core from within Retroarch...and it all works perfectly. It didn't matter what emulator i ran...there was no issue. Only within RA. So i already updated RA to the newest version and still, no go. I've deleted config files over and over...mapped keys and saved as User 1 bind auto configs...nothing works. Last thing i could think of was to remove the Cronus Max plus and try to just run the regular generic usb encoder into the pc...and it was recognized as always. By LB, BB and windows. As soon as i went to map buttons...the same thing happened...almost like there are some wierd RA settings that are saved and will not delete. So im at a loss here. I reached out to the discord for LIBRETRO...and they told me to update RA. Then go through the same steps i have. Nothings worked. Any assistance would be great guys. Thanks!
  9. As of late, when i attempt to exit a game in BB on my Arcade, it will either not exit at all, or it will exit and then freeze on the exit screen ( leaving me on the rom launch screen ( with Play, Favorite, Etc ). I have gone in a few times and made sure that i have controller automation on and two buttons selected to close out of a game. I back out of BB and launch a game...and it works...sometimes. At one point it gave me this error code and im not sure why... I had the issue with my arcade roms not exiting as well and i went into MAME and made sure the exit button on my control panel was the configured to the exit feature. That was easy enough...but now MAME is the only thing that will exit in BB properly. All consoles will decide when they will and when they wont. As you can see by the error log...im still running 9.0. Everything has been fine for a year with my arcade setup, so i had no real reason to update. Also, i hadn't seen anything in the change logs that seemed to do much for BB. Any help here would be great as BB is the reason i have the program to begin with. Thanks ahead of time guys!
  10. So from the the last pics I posted of the build, I decided to scrap that control panel. It was just too narrow and not wide enough in my opinion for 4 players comfortably....and the controls went straight across instead of the angled flanking players. Here is what I did: Here's the wiring... Here is the new look all together: You can see the LED lights I put in the big buttons...these are coin buttons for each player:
  11. Hey buddy. Thanks for the kind words. I am actually done with the cab ( well...ya know...it is and it isn't ? ). So you're a Hyperspin guy converted, ehh? Same here. I actually have a 2player build beside my new 4player cab...and that one is a Hyperspin cab. I will say LB is easier by leaps and bounds...but there has definitely been things that i struggled through...and I'm sure i will still be reaching out to the crew on Discord ( Lord Monkus, Neil, Dos, Zombeaver, etc ). I probably owe Monkus 3/4ths of my arcade at this point...he's been amazing. I've been meaning to get back on here and post pics. I will in a few hours as it's 2:am here. My CP is 57" wide. I know the real ones aren't that wide, but since it's mine, i wanted to avoid the literal shoulder to shoulder we used to get in the arcade. Cab is 4' wide ( it has a 46" lcd inside ) and almost 7' tall. It's modular in the sense that the CP comes off. And if need be, me with one drill and a Philips bit can take it completely apart in about 5:mins...and put it back together in about 10. How do i know? Because i built it in the garage and didn't really think about getting in the house until i needed to, lol. I am no woodworker at all either...so this was my first ever solo project like this. Hardest most time consuming this i think was the CP. Since i did it all...no pre-drilled purchases, 100% of the design and all. Then decided to wired a few LEDs to it as well. Nothing overboard as i think crazy lights coming out of the CP from every button looks gaudy IMO. In any case, i'll drop some pics on in a few hours....then start thinking about how im going to do these Wii light guns i want...already go the Dolphin bar.
  12. Hello all, I thought i would post this here instead of bugging the guys on the Discord Chat again with it. My Zero Delay boards i ordered for my 4player build work perfectly in regards to the arcade. They play nice with Windows. They play nice with Windows. I wanted to import some steam games and play them as well since my pc powering this thing is powerful enough to run the new Soul Caliber. Quick back story on why i went with 4 of these is simple, 99% of fighting games on the pc allow for 1 keyboard for one player and one controller for the next. Because im going with a 4player setup, it made sense top nopt have any keyboard encoders. If the pc saw nothing but generic joypads, then it would/should be a none issue. I reached out to the ipac guys. They told me it's still seen as a keyboard. Windows will not allow for 2 separate keyboards to run independently of one another ( Windows keyboard #1 and Logitech keyboards seen as keyboard #2 ), and when i hooked it up, none of the games liked it either. The ipac4 is still seen as a keyboard, so that still wouldn't help with for separate controls for anything new. It would be fine for MAME though. The guys over at Xin-mo told me that windows will not like 4 separate units to make a 4player cab as they do not play well together this way. Neither would two 2player units. So again, the zero delays was my only option that i saw. After setting everything up, again, they all work just fine. All emulators love them and there is no issue except for Steam. I tried seeing if there was a way through steam to set them up and there is. It sees each controller as a PS3 unit for some reason...but it sees them is the point. It will allow for some button presses while trying to setup, but not any of the Dpad, or x buttons. Weird stuff like that. The thing is, some games work perfectly without me being able to set them up..and some just will not. The list of games that play just fine: Ultra SF4 Injustice 1 MK 9 Guilty Gear XX Pac-Man 256 Rayman Origins Marvel VS Games that do not play because they are wanting to see a xbox-360 controller: Killer Instinct Ducktails Blaze Blue Calamity Guilty Gear xx Cuphead ( i can move around in the hub world with the joysticks..but not the game ) https://www.x360ce.com/ I was told about a program called xbox360ce. I've tried it and it sees the controllers as well. I can setup different profiles and all...but they will not work though...even though the program maps my buttons without any issues at all. So here is the weirdest thing...my controls work just fine if...i stream the games from Steam on my desktop. I just played KI a moment ago..streaming it. But if it's installed on the PC, nothing works. So...any ideas on how to overcome this one guys? Thanks for taking the time and reading about my controller issues.
  13. Update here...i got it figured out man. Deleted the XML and re-downloaded meta data only...so no other check marks checked for snaps or any kind of media ( with the inclusion of the " use MAME " option on the last screen because this was an arcade import ). Restarted LB and all was well. There is still a few roms that are off...but just a mouse click or two and we're good. Thanks for all the help.
  14. I imported these like 3 weeks ago. There all from this pack: I have a list off line of 4player arcade games...but i don't think i can just click and choose easily since they are scattered throughout. 15. So i went to the exact game you have here...and this is what mine says. So this is what he must mean by the metadata being incorrect. Im not sure how that happens or how to mass change that though. It would be next to impossible to do each individual game....yikes!
