  1. I think I mostly figured it out. I'd plugged a Switch Pro Controller in to charge via USB and stashed it where I couldn't see it. I was literally looking around my desk to see if there were other possible input sources. The Switch controller is recongnized by steam and set to work with a desktop configuration, meaning by default it can control the mouse, tab, arrows keys, etc. That said, the most input in gives out by itself was moving the mouse due to a deadzone issue. For some reason, at least when plugged into USB, it creates total input chaos for LaunchBox. No only was EVERYTHING reacting, I was seeing volume adjustments and scroll lock turning on and off as well, but only when LaunchBox was open. Whether this was due to being plugged into USB or some conflict with the 360 controller I'm not sure. I'm also not sure why turning on the 360 controller seemed to quell it once, but that wasn't consistent anyway. Once I found the Pro controller, unplugged it, and fixed the deadzone so I could use it to control the mouse, I opened LaunchBox and it seemed to work as expected. I just tested a couple things: if I open LaunchBox with the ProCon: it's fine. If I THEN plug in the USB cable, the controller stops accepting my inputs, but it's still fine. If I start LaunchBox WITH the controller plugged in via USB, that's when all hell breaks loose again.
  2. Thanks Lordmonkus. All my games disappeared because I accidentally installed to a completely different folder. Whoops. Had a bit of a breakthrough when I accidentally launched the original install again. At one point when LaunchBox started opening tons of PSP games I find that it's launched and is playing a song on a rhythm game, and I can see it HAMMERING two of the notes, what would correspond to the Y and B buttons on my 360 controller. So I turn ON the controller. And the input stops. It still tries to launch a bunch of PSP games when I get focus back to LaunchBox, but eventually those stop when all the queued game launches run out. I KNOW I'd launched it previously when the controllers were completely off, but somehow it's getting or generating a ton of garbage input from the controller. It's not fixed, however. I've tried installing 8.5 (in the correct location this time) and I still get the problem, sometimes it happens when I start with the controller turned on and connected, too. It's frustrating because if I launch more than once sometimes it automatically starts re-installing the new version! I just removed the 8.7 installer from updates in hopes of keep that from happening again. I just tested the controller by itself with an emulator outside of LaunchBox and it works fine.
  3. Used LaunchBox a couple days ago, seemed to be working fine. Opened it today, I'm greeted to an installer instead of the program actually opening, which is frustrating enough. Then it opens up LaunchBox Next, I believe I'd set it to open onto Next in the past session? I'm not sure. The PSP platform section was open, and LaunchBox, of it's own volition, decides to open EVERY ROM, with a copy of PPSSPP for each one. Now, I have a beefy rig, but of course this instantly puts it at 100% CPU usage after opening only a couple instances. At first I thought I'd somehow selected a group of ROMs and clicked on them (regardless, this shouldn't be possible in any scenario). I'm able to alt-tab and close several emulators, but each time I give focus back to LaunchBox, even more open. I close LaunchBox, and close the remaining emulators. Okay. Maybe I messed something up? I open it again. Same thing. Game upon game upon game. I try a couple more things, and at one point when I'm able to do something I switch to the PS2 section and things are even more chaotic, the side panel for Next is opening and closing, the right click menu is flickering open, and now dozens of PS2 games are attempting to start up. Something to note is for both consoles there's often multiples of the same game opening. It's not exactly one copy of every game. My mouse and keyboard are working fine and neither of my controllers were currently turned on, so I don't think it was rogue inputs, at least not from my end. I learned older versions are stored in the Updates folder so I installed 8.5 (I'm assuming the version I was running is 8.7, which was the newest installer in that directory). 8.5 installed fine, it opens without issue, but now my entire game library is gone. I'd love to know if there's a way to easily reconnect it with the data I already had set up, otherwise I don't really feel like interacting with this software again. ? Anyway, I figured it was important to get this out there as from my point of view it seems like a pretty serious issue. Thanks!
