  1. Retro - Thanks I did post it in the request. I was also thinking that someone at some time has had to come to either the same conclusion or a work-around. If someone has a fix let me know. If you came to the same conclusion - here is a link to my submittal! Launch Emulator (With no rom name being sent)
  2. This seems like a simple feature request - and there may be another work-around that I'm not aware of. I would like for LB/BB to have the ability to send no file name when launching an emulator - basically just run the associated "emulator". The "ROM" and other parameters could be done using custom - per game command line parameters, already available to edit in the game edit menu. This would allow me to launch Daphne directly using the rom w/o the need for an additional batch file. This is an issues because LEDBlinky assumes that the first run batch file is the emulator and since the batch file closes as soon as the emulator starts my LED lighting reverts to LB/BB FE animations. Here is the situation: I'm using LEDBlinky with LB/BB and finally Daphne. Everything works except that the way Daphne works with "ROM" files is a little different than other emulators on my system. Most emulators except some form of command "Emulatorx ROMx" to start the emulator and load the rom. Other parameters can also be added as needed and it's great that LB/BB has the ability to augment the command line to allow for modifications. However, Daphne specifically needs to run via a batch file. SO... normally the "ROM" is sent to a batch file that then sends configuration and launching instructions to Daphne. I have tried multiple things to get around the issue. My the allowance of launching the emulator with no file name sent would be the easiest and cleanest solution. I have tested it using fake file names with success. Hope this makes sense. Maybe I'm overthinking something...
  3. Thanks for the tip - no dice. Still reverting. Not an issue with LEDBlinky at this point, Guess I'm going to have to seek an alternative way of launching my Daphne games. The only way LEDBlinky would be able to "notice" is if it was monitoring focus and not running task.
  4. After additional digging I know what's happening. @arzoo It has to do with the way LB/BB launch my Daphne games. Games being launched are using a launcher.exe that takes the file name (ready dummy file) and serves up the proper command line to launch the game in Daphne with settings. LB/BB > Launcher.exe ("ROM") > Launcher pushes to > Daphne.exe -"file/settings/ect." When this happens LB/BB send the information to LEDBlinky as the program running is "Launcher.exe". Once this files does it's magic and phases and passes the data to "Daphne.exe" it closes. This causes LEDBlinky to assume that game was terminated. I have tried to add both "Launcher.exe" and "Daphne.exe" - but because LB/BB only sends out the information once, for the originating "emulator" (Launcher.exe) - LEDBlinky knows nothing of Daphne running. I guess at this point I'm looking for a solution that would allow the launching of my Daphne games directly using the Daphne.exe. Thoughts? How is this handled with other games that use a batch file or other type of pre-run software??? Thanks in advance to anyone with some thoughts!
  5. So, I'm having a new issue that has cropped up with LEDBLINKY. Basically, when selecting a game in BigBox I get the controls "demo" for that game. When game launches the controls come up again and then the LEDs revert to the BIGBOX animation I have. Attached is a debug. It almost looks like BLINKY is getting a false that I have reverted to BIGBOX when I am still in Daphne(HD) in the attached log. Maybe someone has seen this or has some idea. I usually try to figure things out on my own - but I have not cracked this yet and it's been a few days of messing around. Emulator launch is at 20:19:06 *** Added note: Mame seems to work as expected...***
  6. Great to know - Thank you.
  7. Hi All, Just finishing up a new cab with a 21:9 LCD marquee installed and - as always looking to push things a little further. Has anyone worked on allowing for basic animation on a marquee? Something similar to a theme for a game? Maybe a few elements... Second will BigBox allow for such a thing to happen natively? Just a thought I figured I would mention, maybe someone has already done something and could share?
  8. Exactly what I did... I'm quite creative "Not Default" was what I renamed the new folder...
  9. Always a good thing when my ignorance helps others!
  10. Good call! Sorry for the delay - you hit the nail on the head. Guess I didn't know. I've been a user for years - guess it's true that you learn something new everyday.
  11. Old post, I know... Quick question maybe someone can answer... I have changed out the xaml file and bigbox instantly re-writes the file on load. I tried to make the file read only and I received an error msg. Any idea?
