alobar
I would really like the ability to click on a game and bring up a menu similar to when selecting a system that would have all saved states and movies (I think the movie feature has already been requested) for that game. It looks like big box already has the extra level implemented, now just add a folder for saved games. This would only work for emulators that support it but then I could control command line parameters to play a movie and then load a state afterward (FCEUX for NES). With this I could choose the image to go with the saved state, the title and then the command to open it.
Jason Carr
Great idea @alobar. That's likely a challenge to implement generically for all emulators, but I can see it being really useful. I'll add it to my list to research, at least.
alobar
Well it could be quick and dirty just so I have something to play with. Just create an icon, I choose text and image and command line parameters with some standard metadata. You shouldn't have to do more than that. Unfortunately some emulators don't have the option of command line parameters for saved states but that's on them. Leave the command line option open. Let me choose the whole thing, even the initial program (emulator) name. This way I could run a batch file if need be to a way to implement. There are so many emulators and ways to implement that leaving it open and let users have discussion here on how to accomplish specifics would be a great start!
