Orbi
Hi, Would it be possible to add an option that applies a Gaussian Blur to the background when using the game's box art? Optionally with a slider to determine the intensity. I currently use a faded Box Art which works well but looks a bit odd with lower resolution box art. I think a blur effect like that makes it a bit more aesthetically appealing in my opinion. Here's a fairly rough mock-up I made (the selection box doesn't look good here but that's my bad Photoshop skills): This might be a bit computationally expensive to apply every time you switch, but I think it'd be a neat option in the future. Another minor, long shot suggestion: a fade between backgrounds when the next one has loaded instead of just the sudden switch? Just started using LaunchBox last night and I'm enjoying it so far, will probably buy Premium at some point. Thanks for all your hard work! alobar
I like this idea. A little faded out (feature already available) and a little blurry would make the games stick out a little more and make everything a little easy on the eyes. I think you went a little too far in your mock up though.
Jason Carr
Hi @Orbi, welcome. I do actually already have both of those items on my to-do list as customizable options. I'll see if I can bump them up a bit on the list. :)
