Some mame games not imported?

Hello. I just imported my Mame 173 set, but all games are not imported into Launchbox even though the are in the gamesdb (Timecrisis2/3 etc). Any clue why? I've set launchbox not to skip any game and import everything.. Any clue?

Did you import them as Arcade or check the box to force using the MAME importer? The names match an internal MAME system, which we process properly, as long as the MAME import function is triggered. Re-import as Arcade or checking the box and see if Metadata is found then for you.

Yes, I imported them as arcade and it parsed like 4000 of my games. But some are missing. Even when I choose to import broken games it doesn't import them. Mame finds them like it should.

So then broken how? My assumption means broken as the name is still the internal naming that MAME wants them to be and not the actual name of the game.

I mean broken like not working in mame, but in the official mame list. Shouldn't launchbox fetch the correct names for the mame zip's automatic? Launchbox has found 4000 games that are not renamed into actual names..

We are using the info from 172, so if you have a 170-173 set pretty much all the names should be fine. The last I did a MAME import I imported it as Arcade, more or less left the settings default and got about 4k games with proper names.

I also got exactly 4000 games, but I'm still missing some.. Could you check if time crisis 2, 3 or 4 are imported for you? These are some of the games missing when I import..

If those require chd's they may not import properly. I have a new MAME set I need to import so let me run the importer for this for you.

Yes they require CHD's. Maybe that's the issue. Just check it up and let me know. Maybe we can sort out a fix for this :)

I don't think anything is broken though. I just imported the .173 set, unchecked Rythym and Mahjong games and just imported 1,572 games. No CHD's.

Ok.. Hmm.. But isn't 1572 games way to few? Do you have time crisis 2 and 3? I think you're also missing a lot of titles..

I have the first Time Crisis, but I also don't have a CHD pack so that may be hampering what gets imported.

Ok, I see.. I have the full chd pack so.. I'll do some research and see what I can find out

So yea I'm not saying our importer is not off in some way or that we don't need to fix something (stuff can always break randomly), but you were saying nothing for you is being imported and I am, at least, still getting 1,500 or so games importing.
