droople
Hi I just installed Launchbox, and imported my Gameboy games roms. Unfortunately, there's no images, even after I chose update images. All the roms are in separate zip file. Should I unzip them? Cheers PS, same zip files can get image in KODI retro game browser.
LogicalEgo
Can you go into launchbox, game boy, click on one game, crtl+a to select all, then go to tools, download metadata and images. From there choose your options. I would normally go with front and back box options as well as clear logo.

LogicalEgo
Are you scrapping as Nintendo Game Boy? Edited January 2, 2017 by keltoigael

GiantTitan
I am having this same exact issue with Nintendo DS. All my others will scrap data besides Nintendo DS.

GiantTitan
Fixed my issue. All of the file names started with a sequential number. 001,002 etc. I removed those and its working perfectly. Check your rom file names.
DOS76
Yeah if you have the DS games named in sequential order it can be a PITA to get those right I used a bulk re-name utility to take the numbers out of the folders name (Unzipped them all to their own folder) and then used the checkbox to use folder name in the import. DOS76
No its not a bug it would be an issue with the name of the ROM files that you used the people ripping these are adding the games release number into the title I blame them though I appreciate all the hard work they did to provide us with all of these games so they are forgiven. The number normally not added by people who dump it, it's added by user like myself by using software like offlinelist. I also like zip file, which unable to use with Emulationstation. IMO, it's still kind of bug or feature hasn't added into launchbox.
DOS76
ah Ok then I downloaded my entire ds collection with the numbers added I wish some one would have left well enough alone then before they added them to the 6K plus games I downloaded. LB names the files based on the name of the rom if your roms aren't named in a conventional matter I don't know what it can do beside some type of system like MAME has on import to filter out all of those numbers for DS but that hasn't ever been requested before and would probably need to be put on the ever growing to do list

DOS76
what to add numbers to them? I would never want to do that that's just taking it a little to far.

For me, it's easier to find a rom if you put them into folders every 100. like 001-99, 100-199,200-299,instead of initials(a,b,c..)
DOS76
To each his own I separate by region and then just leave all the games in that sub-folder. Once in LB I rarely ever have to go to the roms actual folder and look for anything just browse with LB/BB.

I'm collecting no-intro and good roms, so I need to know what I'm missing and what I've got. :-P
DOS76
when you use your list maker thing to add the numbers could you add [0000] or (0000) this would keep LB from seeing the numbers on import don't know if it would interfere with your other applications
