syntax_X
Just signed up to emu movies, was feeling lazy, chose every rom with ctrl+a (20,000 or more) and told launchbox to download metadata for them. Worked a treat for the first 2-3 systems, Arcade n64 and NES but after that every game drops an error when trying to download the movie. I don't know what number it gets to when it starts but I replicated it 3 times after restarts ect. started on the same number/game every time. If I select and update metadata on each platform individually they download fine.
SentaiBrad
It's probably their server denying so many requests in sequential order? No clue, but that would be my guess.
syntax_X
Figured as much, which is why I tried doing the platforms separately to make the request smaller. Does launchbox login to the emumovies fttp?
SentaiBrad
It doesn't use the FTP per-se, it uses their API.
syntax_X
Hope this is not too off topic but while I have your attention when importing metadata its asks to "Please wait while parsing emumovies" Sometimes I wait sometimes I don't, I never see a difference? SentaiBrad
It could just be their server being under more of a load at the moment you tried got to that screen. I notice too, that pressing back to go back a few pages to edit something, going back to EM it also loads faster.
