asantosjr Posted March 4, 2017 Posted March 4, 2017 Hi all, I'm trying to use Retroarch to launch Arcade games, but when I select Play on Big Box nothing happens. If I select Open Retroarch from Big Box menu, and then Load Content, the game runs. Is there any option and/or special config I should have done? TIA! Quote
Lordmonkus Posted March 4, 2017 Posted March 4, 2017 You don't need to do anything special in Retroarch but you do need to have your setup in Launchbox done correctly with the emulator and associated platforms and command line parameters 1 Quote
asantosjr Posted March 4, 2017 Author Posted March 4, 2017 (edited) This is how I have configured... but I was using mame2014_libretro.dll. I changed to mame_libretro.dll and now it is working. Thank you!! Edited March 4, 2017 by asantosjr Quote
Lordmonkus Posted March 4, 2017 Posted March 4, 2017 You can use the 2014 core if that is best for your rom set, just edit the core name in the Associated Platforms list to. Quote
oliv Posted February 15, 2018 Posted February 15, 2018 hello, Sorry, i think i am not very good could you explain me how you find the default line parameters for eache emulator? When i associate a plateform it is always empty Thanks a lot olivier Quote
Lordmonkus Posted February 15, 2018 Posted February 15, 2018 The default command line will always be: -L "cores\core_name.dll" and you can get the exact core name by looking in the \Retroarch\cores\ folderSo for example if I wanted to change the Super Nintendo core in Launchbox to use the SNes9x core I would edit the line to: -L "cores\snes9x_libretro.dll" Make sure the L is capitalized and watch for spaces and quotes, little typos can totally mess it all up. 2 Quote
