uranium12 Posted March 14, 2017 Share Posted March 14, 2017 Hey everyone so I downloaded Launchbox and its great so far. With the SNES tutorial I got it working and its fun. Now I want to do ALL arcade games but I cant seem to get MAME 0.183 to work for me. I watched the tutorial the games I got for it uploaded to Launchbox perfectly but when I click them MAME starts for a few seconds and then it shuts down and the games dont play. is there something Im missing? I *think* MAME outputs errors to the console window, so you could try running "mame <romname>" in a command prompt and see if there's any helpful output. If they're not in the MAME roms folder, then you gotta tell MAME where they are so that the games you imported know where their parent and bios roms are. Also, which .183 set did you get? Split used to be my go to for .181 and lower, but since .182 (.183 included), I've had issues. So, if you have the bandwidth available to you, and you have a split, and we've exhausted the avenues, then it might be a broken split pack. Non-merged is the most compatible, but it takes up double the space, and merged doesn't work period in LaunchBox (it doesn't import correctly).
