Auto Playlist Creation Question

Hi Guys - When I use the built in LB feature to auto populate my arcade Playlists, is LB using only the roms that I have?

Meaning if I DO NOT have a full MAME set, will it create the playlists with my games or will it create them assuming I have a full romset which would result in some games not working?

I am importing an FB Alpha set and was thinking of doing the playlist generation but wasn't sure what would happen since FB Alpha is much smaller than MAME.
