Rooster09
Sorry for asking if this feature has already been added to LaunchBox, I've been out of the loop and trying to catch up on things. Anyways, I would really love if there was a way you could launch games that require specific settings ( like the plugins and etc for PS2 and PS3 emulators for example ) without having to do any major work arounds or 3rd party software. I'm aware of the 3rd party option like the one shown here for example https://forums.launchbox-app.com/topic/30019-launchboxpcsx2-an-in-between-launcher-for-launchbox-and-pcsx2/ But I would love to see this added as a main feature. Ideally, it would be nice to have it setup in way that you could just tell LaunchBox " Hey, every time this game is launched using this emulator always use these plugins/settings for this specific game " It would also be cool if this applied to more than just the PS2/PS3 but any emulator that allows custom settings like Cemu, Citra and etc.
SentaiBrad
You can already do this if the emulator supports command line parameters. Like with RetroArch, you can tell it to use custom configs when loading a core for a certain platform. You can even do this per game, but it depends on the emulator and how you need to set it up. I knew about RetroArch but I don't think the other emulators support command lines, even so, I still would like to see something implemented that would cover all the bases and wouldn't require specific emulators to set up like that. I feel like the beauty of LaunchBox is it's simplicity. It can do so many advanced things but the program itself is what does most of the lifting while keeping the user end simple and straight forward. SentaiBrad
Well, in order to cover something like this it would have to be on a per emulator basis, which makes it harder. I believe the software that you outlined is just a GUI version instead of making a script or knowing the command line parameters. While similar functionality is achievable obviously, it's still per emulator and would take some effort. Not many people request it shockingly. Most software does support command line parameters though, it's just a matter of finding them. The command line is the not-so-secret secret weapon of LB. Styphelus
You can do it if you use RocketLauncher. There's nothing else out there that supports this kind of thing.
