avaris
Hey, so i'm having a problem where from nowhere my windows games are stuck. To explain further, whenever i delete for example Crysis 2 it just reappears after closing and opening Launchbox. I've tried deleting the games multiple times, as well as other games within "Windows" but it still just reappears, this goes for any changes like changing video, images or information etc. Tried restarting my pc & this issue only appears in windows section, no games outside are affected. I'm using the latest 7.10 version of launchbox (beta disabled). help? Edited June 9, 2017 by avaris
SentaiBrad
So, it could be a few things. If your other platforms are working properly though, then chances are it's not a permissions issue with Windows. Lets check the XML and see if it's set to read only some how. Close down LaunchBox or BigBox, then go in to your LaunchBox/Data/Platforms folder. Right click your PC XML (it will be named what ever you called the platform), and go to properties. If it's set to read only, then uncheck it and click apply. If it's not set to read only, then it might be XML corruption and it will require a bit more work. Make a copy of your PC.xml. With a copy, delete the original. Re-open LaunchBox, then import your PC titles again. During the import use the uncheck all button for the images, so none of the images re-download. All of your previous images will re-attach to each of your games. Try editing a title or deleting it, and let me know if it works now. You'll also need to go to Tools -> Image Cleanup if you didn't import some games, or if you removed them after the fact.
avaris
Every time i try to delete the windows.xml and relaunch launchbox it just reappears and all the games are there again, it's like its super glued.. Also, i can't really import all my PC games again, i have a TON of configurations for each of my 70 ish games which took me a really long time to set-up. any other ideas? avaris
I actually solved this, i had made copies of the files before called "windows - copy" and "windows - copy 2" etc. Apparently even though i deleted the normal default "windows" xml file launchbox automatically took information from "windows - copy" which concluded in me not being able to make any configurations to my windows games. I now packed all my copies into another folder so launchbox doesn't mix them up.
SentaiBrad
Well I am glad it's fixed up now. I also love your icon. MM is my favorite.
