Honkeykong585
Hey, I'm Josh I am new to the forums and while setting up my launchbox I ran into a few issues. I am at the point where I'm adding emulators and toms and everything has been fine until I attempted to use the same emulator for the same system. Example, I am using Kega Fusion for my genesis games, now the same emulator can be used for sega master system, and when I attempted to do that I get an error about changing the emulator name. I do that but it keeps telling me to use one from the list. I guess I'm just trying to figure out if you can do what I'm trying to do,and is there a way to add an emulator to that small default list they give you under manage emulators? Any help would be great, thanks in advance. Josh
Lordmonkus
You don't need to add a new emulator. Simply add Sega Master System to the associated platforms window for the Fusion emulator you already have in Launchbox.
Honkeykong585
So I have it added as an associated system under the mega fusion being used by genesis, but no name is showing up under platform? I'm trying to get it so all systems are listed. One I associate it how do I get it to show under the platform list?
Lordmonkus
Import at least one game for the platform and the platform will show up.
Honkeykong585
So here's something idk to do, how do you import games to a platform you can't select on the side
Lordmonkus
Just drag a game in and it will start up the import wizard. Here's a short tutorial video I did which should give you what you need to get started. I know it's using the Retroarch emulator but all the steps are the same with other emulators. Honkeykong585
Drag the to me to where exactly?
Lordmonkus
Just drag a rom into your Launchbox window like I do in the video. That will start the import wizard where you pick which platform and emulator that rom or roms is going to use. So for example with the Sega Master System, drag any rom for it into LB, choose the Sega Master System platform and your Fusion emulator in the wizard. Once the import process is done you will have the Sega Master System platform on the left and your game in that platform.
