32vk
Installed launchbox and setup the NES as a trial. It downloaded 5GB of images. Can't imagine what the full collection will need. So I'd like to put them on the NAS, but rather than download them to the main PC and moving, is there anyway to download them direct to the NAS? I've found the tools/manage platforms page, but the patience needed to change each individual folder path for each emulator each time is why I gave up on hyperspin! Is there a more logical approach to this? Or if I download all the images, then reinstall, can I import the images any easier? Basically trying to achieve Launchbox and emulators on each PC, but roms and images on the NAS so any PC can use it. Thanks for the help
DOS76
Unfortunately that is the most straight forward way to do it. You can also go to the Platforms.xml in the data folder and edit the folder paths there too. I believer they are further down in the document. When ever editing xml files make sure LB is closed as the program will prevent any changes from saving. Also may be safe to save a copy of any XML before editing it. 32vk
Thanks, Is there not an option to import images from a local source? Seems odd to me someone would want the front set of images in a different location to the rear etc. Appreciate I'm new, but an option to change the main image folder instead of each subfolder, or to do all sub folders at once would be a great time saver. DOS76
It certainly would. I've requested it in the past hopefully one day. You may want to test that out with just a system or 2 and see how the performance of it all is from a network location.
