new with ppsspp, game issue

im trying to get iron man psp game to run but i keep getting this error after the intro video when i start a new game.

does anyone know whats going wrong with this? i also tried different US and Europe version but same issue.

running ppsspp 1.5.4

i7 6700k oc 4.5Ghz

16gb 3000mhz

Nvidia  Gtx 980 ti

win10 pro

I have never seen that issue and q quick Google search turns up nothing.

Are you using stock out of the box settings or have you messed with the settings at all ?

yeah i changed,

upscale 3x

rendering resolution  10x

anisotropic filtering 16x

show fps

I'd suggest starting with a fresh build and see if that works fine and then from there make changes one at a time til you find what causes the issue.

I switched back to default and still same error and ppsspp crashes after  you click no

Well like I said, I haven't seen that error and a quick Google search for it came up with nothing./

I use 1.5.4 on an AMD 8350, 16 gigs ram, 970 graphics card and Windows 10 and it works perfectly.

Did you possibly change the video renderer ? Vulkan maybe ? I'm just taking guesses here.

its on Vulkan, should it be on direct3d 11?

Try D3D or GL, this this is why I said to try a fresh install, I don't believe that that the Vulkan render is the default because of hardware compatibility.

oh i thought you meant by resetting the settings to default.  well i switched it to the direct3D 11, and that did the trick. thank you so much!

Yeah, Vulkan for some emulators is a new thing and sometimes has problems.
