kalimah Posted August 25, 2018 Posted August 25, 2018 (edited) When I load the core in Retroarch and load content, the games play fine. When I try to launch from Launchbox, it doesn't work. Roms are in zip format and under retroarch manage emulators, the checkbox is checked for unzipping. Any help would be appreciated! Edited August 25, 2018 by kalimah Quote

Lordmonkus Posted August 25, 2018 Posted August 25, 2018 Extracting zip files for arcade is generally a bad thing for the emulators, they like them in their zip files. I don't know of any arcade emulators that work with them unzipped at all. Quote
kalimah Posted August 25, 2018 Author Posted August 25, 2018 Ok. That worked. I have Retroarch running multiple systems. I'm using Retroarch for SegaCD also. If I uncheck the box, SegaCD games won't work. How do I set it for different systems? Quote
Lordmonkus Posted August 25, 2018 Posted August 25, 2018 The easiest thing to do would be to make a 2nd instance of Retroarch in your emulators in LB, call it whatever you want and it can point to the same install so you don't have to have a separate install. Set that 2nd instance to not unzip the games. Quote
kalimah Posted August 25, 2018 Author Posted August 25, 2018 A problem just showed up. When I uncheck the box, I figured Sega Cd wouldn't work. Now, Retroarch isn't finding any of my Sega CD games when they are still sitting in the same place as before. What happened? Quote

Lordmonkus Posted August 25, 2018 Posted August 25, 2018 I don't know what you might have done but I would suggest removing the emulator entry for Retroarch and re-add it and see if that helps out. Make sure your Associated Platform names are correct and all that. Maybe even bulk edit your games for each platform that isn't working and re set the emulator to Retroarch for those platforms. Quote
