gg68
LaunchBox looks great! I haven't really fully checked it out, but I went straight to a premium license before even installing it! Perhaps a little over ambitious, but still... Pretty straightforward, I import files for a system, notice the total game number is different from the total number of files. I try a 2nd system - same. I try a 3rd system - same. I delete them and reimport forcing dupes (not sure why, but the number was closer to what it should be although none are true dupes). I cross reference file by file and notice there are 2 that just skipped for no real reason. I drag and drop one of them and it imports fine. I try the remaining file and 0 game(s) were imported successfully. Help me understand. Is there a log file somewhere that explains what is happening? The logs directory is empty. Why would the import folder option skip 2 files while forcing dupes and dragging and dropping one file correctly imports but the single remaining file for the system does not import. It exists in the gamesdb. Thanks!

Those games are probably combined to one entry, if you have (USA) (JAP) and (EUR) versions of the same game they are combined into one entry in Launchbox. You can right click a game and if there is more than one version you can pick which one to launch. So if you have 100 games all with the three regions you will have 300 files (100x3) but they will be imported to Launchbox under the same name so you will only have the 100 entry's but there will be 300 files there, each game will have 3 files attached to it. gg68
Thanks for the reply! There are no duplicates or different region games in this set. However, in the set mentioned above, it is a difference between Game A and Game A 2 (sequel to Game A) and Game B and Game B 2. They are all USA region. I did right click and expanded Game B 2 and now it shows both the 1st and 2nd. Any explanation on why Game A 2 did not import on the folder import but did on the click and drag? Are there logs to stay on top of this as I won't be able to compare line by line on all imports. And why would Game B and Game B 2 be combined in one entry?
