Bigbox won't run the games except when exiting

Hi all, 

First post and the first installation of bigbox/launchbox 8.9.
I built an arcade cabinet with win 10. For now, I am using steam games and retroarch 1.7.5 with Mame 2010. 

Everything seems to work fine in Launchbox. 

When I try to run the games in bigbox, I get the message that the game is loading but nothing else happens. 

When I exit bigbox then I see the game or games running. I can even have several games running, one on top of each other.

So, they have been running in the background cos they have been taking the button inputs. 

What am I missing? 

Thanks for great work and the tutorials. I have been following some of them like the one to launch bigbox at startup.

I found the issue. It was a problem with ipac-2. It was sending the signal of key "Return" as if it was constantly pressed (more or less). I unplugged and plugged the cable for Return and it seems it stopped doing that.  
I hope it doesn't happen again.
