Demul full screen side flickering when trying to play a game in 4:3

Hello!

When booting a game using Demul, I have this weird flickering issue, which you can see in this video:

I can fix it by using the gpuDX11old video plugin, but from what I have heard, the new is better. I can also fix this by playing the game in 16:9, but I prefer to play it in 4:3 and not have it stretched out. It also happens if I use alt+enter to manually make the game fullscreen.

I have attached a screenshot with my settings.

I hope someone can help me with this.

I have the exact same problem. Trouble is when I use the gpuDX11old video plugin I get weird grapical glitches. I've just tried Redream emulator tonight. Works straight the box, no setting up and works flawlessy with Launchbox. There's a 4K version too. Check it out. ?

Hey Lukeyboy! Thank you for responding. I have heard about Reddream, but from what I have heard, Demul is still better compatability and accuracy wise, so I prefer using that.

In case anyone comes across this topic, the only way I found to fix this, is to disable full screen optimisations in the properties of the Demul executable.

Works for me! Cheers m8. Back to Demul I go ?

I'm not sure what to tell you to be honest, im going to assume you know where you installed Demul. it should just be in there.  Then just right click on demul.exe, select properties, go to the compatibility tab and select "Disable fullscreen optimizations" then hit apply.
