hello,

i installed the update that was prompted.  now when i try to launch LB, it starts to load up but then just minimizes and i can see its icon on my task bar at the bottom. but when i right click and select 'launchbox', i get a popup window for about 1 second that says "initializing", but it disappears and im not able to get into launchbox.

did the update affect anyone else?  if not , i will uninstall and re-install.

Try going to your Launchbox/Updates folder and running the installer again directly over your current install, and see if that fixes it. I havent seen anyone else mention this issue so far, so hopefully running the installer again will fix it in case something got corrupted while updating.

Are you using RocketLauncher? If so turn off the startup/shutdown screens in Launchbox/bigbox.

Thanks neil9000, this was driving me nuts figuring out what changed to cause this. Dolphin was where I noticed it and after reading this post checked both launchbox and bigbox and sure enough theres options in bigbox  and launchbox for "Game Startup" that had to be unchecked. Probably should read the change notes a little more closely...
