dryden
Hi guys! I'm trying to set up my arcade cabinet with bigbox, after coming form a free frontend, and I'm having a little bit of trouble that I could use some help with. 1- Is there a way for the frontend to show only one category? -This is a proper arcade cabinet, and I only have mame roms in it. What I want is the frontend to enter immediately in the arcade category and doesn't show a selection between categories. 2- Can the select button of the frontend, launch the game immediately instead of showing the menu? -I understand that I can assign a key to launch the game directly, but what I really wanted is the game to be launched form the selection key, and the user not to have access to that "pre-launch" menu because of the possibilities of messing up my system. 3- How can i block access to the configuration/exit menu? -When you press "back" enough times, you'll be in a menu that lets you mess with some configs, exit and/or shutdown the system. What I'l looking for is a way to disable this menu, and maybe, if possible, instead of this menu the user could be asked if he wants to shut down the system. Thx in advance

If you only have the one platform you can set Bigbox to open into the "All" category in the options. 2. Again in the options is a option to "Skip game details screen" check that and it will load straight from the wheel. 3. In that options menu is a "Lock" option, you can set a pin and lock out specific options so they need a pin entry to change in future. Hope that helps.

Hope that helps. thx neil, that almost solves all of my issues, but there's still a couple of issues: If I activate "all" category in options, then whenever I start BigBox, instead of showing the last game on the wheel, it shows the 1st alphabetically. The lock option is good, but the player has no shutdown option unless he knows the pin, and even then it's a hassle to shut it down.
neil9000
You can turn on remember last game in the options/General. You can allow shutdown without a pin, there are various options you can allow in Options/Security.
