OverDhill
I am having an issue where when I try and use the Wizard to Download Metadata it fails to find many of the games. However if I use Edit for the title and use the Search for Metadata (without changing the game name) it has no trouble finding the game and then using the Download Metadata option it will download the fields I have selected. It just doesn't find the games with the Wizard. Doing this for dozens of games would be very time consuming. I have no issues in fixing a few game names and updating manually but it should be working for game names that are correct using the Wizard. Also if I add a ROM to the game the game folder for a particular platform and tell it to Scan for Added Roms for that platform it never seems to find it. If add the game manually it will import fine. I am using the latest version on Windows 7 Pro 64bit.
neil9000
For the scan for added roms, if your roms are not in the Launchbox folder you will need to specify the folder and then they will scan just fine. As for the metadata and image wizard that actually uses slightly different logic to that in the edit screen, the metadata and image wizard and the importer wizard are more strict in the naming so that you dont end up with possibly hundreds of mismatched games imported when you add a platform, the edit screen uses fuzzier matching to try and find a match. If your roms are named relatively correctly though then either way should find matches as long as they are in our database, of course if those games are named incorrectly or badly then it is much more difficult to match them to games in our database (if they are in our database). OverDhill
When I choose Scan for Added Roms it lets me choose between "For All Platforms" and for example "NEC TurboGrafx-16". It does not let me specify a folder. I assume it knows where that platform is located. My ROMS are located on E: and Launchbox is located in C:\users\XXX\Launchbox So where do I specify the folder to re-scan? As for the names does the Wizard use the name as it appears on the Left side of the list of games to import? For example "Bomb Squad" for Mattel Intellivision to look for the tittle in the database? Tools/Manage Platforms/Name of Platform, then click the folders tab and browse to your game folder. 5 minutes ago, OverDhill said: As for the names does the Wizard use the name as it appears on the Left side of the list of games to import?
