epsxe bios not found...

i followed the tutorial for setting up epsxe and i downloaded the three bios depicted in the video and when I try games i get "bios not found".

You can set it to use the HLE bios instead if you are having troubles getting the correct bios.

i got the ones in the video... i have no idea what hle bios are. i tried deleting epsxe from launchbox and reinstalling it and everything. this is becoming a lot of work for little to no reward. i was able to run snex9x fine but when i started on epsxe it has been no  success.

HLE bios are built in and made by the emulators dev, they aren't copyrighted files.

Unfortunately I cannot help you obtain good working bios but I do know they are out there and they do work and the HLE bios in ePSXe work very well too.

i figured it out. what is the difference between the bios i downloaded and HLE?

Technically the real bios will make the emulator more compatible but a good HLE bios is just as good and you won't notice any difference in games and they are 100% legal.

I got it so the games run now but i am unable to configure my controller to work. I am using a PS4 controller which works great for snes9x. Any advice?

None sorry, I don't use a PS4 controller in my setup, I use an XBone and Hori FC controller.
