Zoltrix
Hi all, Just wondering what would be the cheapest recommended video card to run CRT shaders such as CRT-Royal? My current emulation PC has an AMD Athlon 200GE with Radeon Vega Graphics, and the Vega isn't powerful enough. Would a GT 1030 be plenty powerful enough? Or need something bigger? Cheers, Zolt
Lordmonkus
I would suggest anything with GDDR5 vram, even my old Radeon 7900 with 1 gig of GDDR5 vram can run the heavier shaders. If you get a 1030 make sure you get the one with the GDDR5 ram and not the other one.
Zoltrix
That card is a beast though lol. Twice as powerful as the 1030...
Lordmonkus
Ok I said 7900 so I had to go out back and check the box, it's an old 7850 which i've upgraded twice since then. https://www.newegg.com/sapphire-radeon-hd-7850-100355-1gocl/p/N82E16814202004
Zoltrix
Cool thanks for the help. Might go with the GTX 1050, unless anyone here has a GT 1030 and has it working with advanced shaders?
