Qu4ntumZero
I recently made the switch to BigBox and bought an EmuMovies account and absolutely love the new front end experience. I've been getting the hang of all the new options and got all the menus tweaked to how I want them. That being said, I now realize I have way more media files that got imported than I plan to use, and want to scale back and free up space. I'm looking to do this quickly, but more importantly, correctly. The only way in LaunchBox I am aware of is using the Media Wizard. My question is this: 1. If I use the option to replace all existing metadata and media, does it delete everything and then replace it with only the new options I selected? So for example when I first imported the game I just selected every box (except the wiki one) for both the LaunchBox database and the EmuMovies part of the menu. If I go in now and only check Clear Logo and Video Gameplay (low quality) would it erase everything existing that I have now unchecked? Or do I have to go in and purge those things manually? Launchbox will not delete anything automatically. The easiest way would just to be to delete the image folders for whichever platform, then using the metadata and image wizard to just download what you specify. Thank you for the quick reply. As a side note, is there any documentation on how the "clean up media" option functions? It just says it will clean out any media no longer being used by games in your collection, but I'm curious how it determines that or if there are options I can toggle somewhere. No worries if not, and the option you gave is where I will start!

It just matches images against the games in the .xml files, and if a game is no longer imported the attached media is deleted.

That makes sense! Thank you so much for clarifying that for me.
