LaunchBox Has Stopped Working

I've downloaded the free version of LaunchBox and haven't been able to open it. I've clicked on the downloaded executable file and it runs through the install process but crashes when it attempts to open.

It displays the same message each time : LaunchBox Has Stopped Working. A problem caused the program to stop working correctly. Windows will close the program and notify you if a solution is available.

I'm running Windows 8.1 with an AMD FX-8120 processor and 8 GB Ram. I'm new to setting up emulators and front ends so hopefully there's a simple fix I'm just missing .

Could be as you are running Windows 8.1 that you need to update your directx, .NET, and VC Redist packages.

Had the same issue with Win7x64.   I had updates turned off.  Once I performed the >100 Win updates, the install went fine.
