Richard Hands
Hi, I've had an arcade machine running hyperspin for a year or so now, and i wasn't happy with the delay that can happen (sometimes up to two minutes+) for no reason between hitting select, and something like MAME actually starting, so i looked around, found launchbox, loved it, and bought it. bigbox is just what i need, and works nicely but i need some help working out how to do a configuration i used to have in hyperspin and i can't find an article about it. I have 2 x generic USB joysticks (they're arcade joystick/button sets from amazon with a circuit board). they control everything fine, but i want to know how i can map the same button so that it comes 'back' out of an emulator level wheel to the top wheel, AND from the top wheel, exits bigbox/shuts down the machine, rather than bringing up the options menu. can anyone help please? thanks

Of course you can set a button combo to exit the running emulator, but it will take you back to the games list you were already in as Bigbox is still running in the background, just minimized when running a emulator. Exiting Bigbox without going to the menu is possible with X on a keyboard, so you could use some third party controller mapper like controller companion/xpadder to map X to a button combo. A;lso i gues it depends on how your joystick/buttons are read by Windows, if they are seen as xinput controllers you will have to do as i said, if they are read as a keyboard you may be able to set a exit in keyboard automation.
Richard Hands
Okay, they're xinput devices, so i was already using joytokey for hyperspin, I'll set up a new config and try mapping a two button press from my auxilliary buttons for that then. thanks
