tallguy6819 Posted November 13, 2019 Share Posted November 13, 2019 Hey guys, Sorry if this has been posted before. But I\m having problems with MAME itself and Launchbox. First issue- I've tried running the MAME standalone program but whenever I do the audio and video skips and lags big time. And it also wont run many of the roms at all, says files are missing. But if I run the roms through retroarch most of them work prefectly and I cant figure out why it works that way but not through MAME itself especially since I have the brand new version of MAME. Second Issue- I can use retroarch for my SNES roms through Launchbox perfectly without any issues at all. No complaints on that end. But when I try to run the Arcade with retroarch it doesnt wanna work. How it can work when i use retroarch as a standalone but not through Launchbox when I try to run the MAME roms? DOS76 Posted November 13, 2019 Share Posted November 13, 2019 In RetroArch's settings in LB have you added a line for arcade in the associated platform by default Arcade isn't included so most likely LB just doesn't have the instructions on which core to run. You say you have the latest version of MAME but do you have the latest version of the MAME ROMs and if not what ROM set do you have for MAME? I'm just downloading them indivually as I go cause I havent been able to find them in bulk which would make my life a whole lot easier lol. As far as adding the line for arcade I have no idea how to do that. I'm learning all this as I go with reading and watching the tutorials and whatnot.
