Problem sharing joypad settings between devices

Launchbox is portable, and this make his use very handy! I´ve it on a pendrive with all emulators and games, and i can easly use it everywhere
But assume that i ve configured emulators mapping the xbox controller on my desktop pc... What happen if i attach the pendrive with my lanuchbox and the SAME joypad into another device? Will the mapping still works ?

Controls are down to the emulators not Launchbox. So i guess it depends if the emulator saves that to its own folder or if it stores it elsewhere like your documents folder.

I think that the main problem is how OS identify the controller. If on PC A i attach the joypad and the OS assigns it to XInput0, i will map emulator according to this "namespace".
But if i attach the controller on another PC, his name could be different, and the emulator loose any referement
