Blood Vipre
I`ve been using Launchbox since version 9.10 and have bought the premium lifetime version. Since version 10.10 I have been having a strange problem that I thought I had fixed but has now come back. Its frustrating, annoying and downright silly. I have looked elsewhere about this problem and it is even somewhere on this forum but without a proper fix. After installing the latest update, Launchbox starts and works fine, but when I close it and come back to it - the blue circle appears and the dissapears and Launchbox doesn`t start. In taskmanager when clicking the executable it appears to run but then a leaf appears next to it and says `suspended` before dissapearing. Now, after doing some digging on the net it appears because of some feature in Windows 10 that stops programs from running if the OS thinks it does not have enough memory to run. I was having this problem before with 8GB of memory and I fixed it. I cannot remember how. It was a while back and I`m at a loss as to why it has reappeared as I now have 16GB of RAM. It seems to fix when re-installing over the install and will work once but not again afterwards.... Another annoying thing with it, is ..... The same portable drive I have this installed on has the same problem on two other laptops in my household. Does this ring a bell with anyone? C-Beats
Leaf symbols in Windows 10 are related to power saving features. The leaf represents something "Eco-Friendly". Basically your computer is shutting off access to your drive to save power. Need to go to your power settings and tell it to knock it off. My laptop is plugged in so doesn`t need to be eco friendly and my power settings are set to maximum performance and I`m still getting the same problem. Just telling me to go to power settings and tell it to knock it off doesn`t really help because there isn`t a specifc setting to turn this eco thing on or off.... not that I can see anyway. Whenever I run this, I have to reinstall every single time, its tedious.
C-Beats
Need to go to where you saw what power mode you were on and click "Change Plan Settings" then click "Change Advanced Settings" and check that the setting shown is disabled. You also need to go to Device Manager and select the USB Controller you are plugged in then right click and hit "Properties" go to the power management tab and shut off the check box saying it can shut it off. Blood Vipre
Okay. I will try that. I think I remember doing this the last time......I`ve got a memory like a sponge... soaks up a lot but leaks very slowly. Must be all the retro games I keep playing. Thanks.
