snocrashx
Just completed my first build. I used a wire shelving rack as the core with 3' poles in the front and 6' poles in the rear. I built the surround from 1/4" acx plywood. I managed to find an old Dell 19" LCD at the thrift store which seems to be the perfect size for this build. The marquee is a 10" android tablet using software that turns it into a second monitor. I bought two sets of wifi controlled lights, and wrote some backend code to take a screenshot of the marquee, figures out the dominant color and sets the lights to match. I'm still working on this as a lot of the colors end up whitish, but it definitely makes for a more immersive experience.
ed20910
very cool. what software are you using for the tablet to be used as a monitor?
snocrashx
It's wired Xdisplay from splashtop. Launchbox just sees it as a second monitor and I've been able to get pinball dmds to display on it as well
