MAME not loading mame.ini in launchbox

Hi everyone,

I am usually good at figuring stuff out for myself but I am really stuck at the moment. 

 

I have mame setup in the emulators folder. I have moved mame.ini to the root folder and also left it in the ini folder. When I start up the game in mame no problem loads my settings everytime without issue. If I load up a game in launchbox loads no saves presets including hlsl.

 

I spent about 2-3 hours last night reading up on this and I have gone as far as deleting mame.ini and opening up mame to create a new configuration file. I still have the same problem though.

I hqve even gone into the ini file and changed the directory to the root folder for ini but still same problem.

 

I am currently running mame 220. If anyone has any idea what direction I need to go from here I would really appreciate the help as I cannot figure out why this is happening.

in your ini folder are there any folders for individual games ie 1942.ini? If so it will be using those instead of the MAME.ini and override any of those settings?

Thank you so much! I spent hours trying to get that to work didnt occur to me each game had its own info saved. Thanks for your help!
