maabus
I have had no issues with Daphne in the past, but i just recently upgraded my computer. Now when I try to play a game i get the following error. Could not initialize video display: Directinput:: CreateDevice: Device not registered My video card is a NVIDIA GeForce RTX 2080 SUPER
jonnieboyrevel
Bit of an odd suggestion... Have you changed mouse when you upgraded? I'm sure I've seen something in the past about this error popping up when no USB mouse is plugged in. If it works with it plugged in then that's your problem. How you make it work without a mouse plugged in, I have no idea...
maabus
Thanks, I did have a usb mouse plugged in. I think it might have something to do with the Nvidia drivers. I reinstalled the system, and tried Daphne before updating anything and it worked. I have the Nvida control panel, but i have not tried the gforce experience yet, or updating video drivers through it. I currently have all drivers updated through windows update only, and it is still working.
RpT
Daphne for some reason throws a video error whenever there's no USB mouse attached to the system. This is a long-standing bug with the emulator. After a lot of trial and fail over this weekend, trying to make it work on a minipc setup with just 2x Neo Geo arcade sticks attached via Joy2key (no mouse or KB), I've finally found a workaround for this (might come in handy for other times where there's no mouse too)! Install the following device driver, it will appear as "wacom mouse". Daphne will be satisfied and not throw the error: https://support.lenovo.com/us/en/downloads/ds004071-wacom-digitizer-driver-for-windows-7-32-bit-64-bit-vista-64-bit-xp-32-bit-64-bit-thinkpad-w700-w700ds-w701-w701ds Enjoy!
