SNK Neo Geo AES Tankstick unable to exit with BigBox

I have an X-Arcade Tankstick and BigBox.  I have SNK Neo Geo AES setup to use the FBAlpha2012 core in Retroarch.  I have BigBox setup to exit games by pressing buttons 2 and 3 simultaneously.  This combination works for all emulators other than SNK Neo Geo AES.  When I press buttons 2 and 3 together, I get no response from the game and it does not exit.  I was wondering if I need to setup a hotkey combination in Retroarch itself or is this a bug in BigBox?

I would set it up in RA. Usually with Mame and RA it is good practice to set up your exit combo in the emulator. I use the same controller and have it set in RA.
