Options Changes Not Working

I'm having some trouble getting changes in DosBox Options to take affect.  I've tried doing it through the default DosBox configuration tool in the LB menu, and also through the options.bat in the DosBox directory.  Specifically, right now I'm trying to change the resolusion so that it is stretched full screen, and use the scanlines options.  Any advice is appreciated.  Thanks.
