LaunchBox Won't Start RetroArch PC-Engine Core

Everything is working fine with LaunchBox and several other RetroArch cores I've tried (Genesis, SNES, NES, etc), they all launch right away as expected.

I read another thread talking about the name difference (medfen vs Beetle) between LaunchBox and RetroArch shouldn't have any effect, but it seemingly does. I've tried all available cores in RA and switching the Associated Platforms core in LaunchBox, but I double click on the game and nothing happens.

Everything works and loads correctly when launching from RA directly.

Is there a config file somewhere I need to change?

Thanks!

This works just fine, and if it works directly in Retroarch then you have a setting wrong in Launchbox. Do the name you gave the platform, and the name you gave it in the associated platform tab match?

Ah, I didn't even realize I could name custom platforms. I guess "PC Engine" isn't recognized the same way that TG16 is. I made a PC Engine association and selected the core, works great. Thanks!

Yeah those have to match, otherwise Launchbox doesnt no what emulator to use. If you named the platform PC Engine, but there is no PC Engine entry in Associated platforms then Launchbox doesnt no how to launch the games for that platform.
