ArthriticGamer
Snatched a torrent from a private site. Extracted the roms to my game n64 game folder in launchbox. Selected to look for new roms, and an hour or so later after it was done adding art work and what not, 93 games became
ArthriticGamer
Going to start deleting. 10 of the same game have multiple variations on affixed file names. Such as (a),(U)(e),(j). I am assuming J is japanese, U is European, but what are A and E ? A for American release?
Lordmonkus
It looks like you grabbed a "GoodSet" which is loaded up with all sorts of stuff. 53 minutes ago, ArthriticGamer said: but what are A and E ? Asian and Europen region releases.
ArthriticGamer
Ok, what is U and I then ?? I kept the ones with a (U) since they were 1st in the row and they all seem to work, but I did lose box art on a few. Ok, Goodset, good to know. I've been torrenting since, oie, 2003, and never bothered with games and am unfamilair with the term. Looking I see it is not labeled as a goodset, but I suppose I should pay more attention to the file composition than just the file names in the future THank you for taking the time to educate. Scotsman
Sounds like it was 93 zip files and in each zip it would have all region releases for that game, possibly including proto's, hacks and unlicensed etc. If it is the goodset here is a list of the country codes: Country code Country (A) Australia (As) Asia (B ) Brazil (C ) Canada (Ch) China (D) Netherlands (Dutch) (E) Europe (F) France (G) Germany (Gr) Greece (HK) Hong Kong (I) Italy (J) Japan (K) Korea (Nl) Netherlands (No) Norway (R ) Russia (S) Spain (Sw) Sweden (U) United States (UK) United Kingdom (W) World (Unl) Unlicensed (PD) Public Domain, free software and freeware (Unk) Unknown country Edited January 22, 2021 by IainSA
